The 7th Grade student of the month award was given to Paityn Jessen. She is the daughter of Sherry and Erick Jessen. She has three siblings, Colton, Madyson, and Emeryson. Outside of school Paityn plays soccer for QC Rush, piano, and attends St. Pat’s Church and does altar services. In her free time, she enjoys practicing basketball and soccer. She also loves to ride her four-wheeler. While at school she participates in Student Council, Basketball, Volleyball, FCA, and Track. Her favorite subject in school is Social Studies. Her favorite movie is Miracles from Heaven. Her favorite memory thus far this school year has been playing basketball with her friends. People would say that her top three qualities are that she is kind, funny and hard working. She has been on student council for 2 years which is teacher nominated and is also an A Honor Roll student. She looks up to her mom and dad because they are helping her to become a good disciple of Christ.. In the future Paityn would like to pursue a career as a Pediatric Oncologist to help kids with cancer. A few things Paityn would want people to know about her is that she loves animals, playing piano, and her favorite vacation spot is Florida.
Notes from the teachers:
Mrs. Weller, her science teacher says “Paityn is a pleasant student that comes to class each day ready to learn. She has a positive attitude and puts forth good effort. Paityn is responsible and respectful.”
Mrs. Schaub, her PE teacher says “Paityn has lots of energy for the end of the day. Her spunky attitude brightens people up at the end of the day and puts a smile on everyone's face. She is a joy to have in class.”
Mrs. Stanforth, her ELA teacher says “Paityn is a very hard working student in language arts class. I especially appreciate when she contributes to class discussions over things we are reading. She has great insight and ideas that benefit the whole class. Her homework is always done thoroughly with great attention to the writing mechanics. She comes to class each morning in a pleasant mood with a wonderful smile. It is a pleasure to be her teacher!”
Mrs. Rowe, her Social Studies teacher says “If I had to pick one word to describe Paityn, it would be SPUNKY! She is a go-getter, who can be a little silly, but knows when to be serious. She is a hard worker and always tries to do well. She is a feisty little basketball player who hustles and never gives up. I think that her ambition will take her far, as both a student and an athlete. She brings a smile to my face everyday, and I am so glad I have gotten to know her this year.”
